Book 25: The Roads to Sata: A 2000-Mile Walk Through Japan

The originator of the book a week challenge mentioned a "Read about Japan" challenge in honor of Golden Week: four Japanese national holidays were being celebrated within the week of April 29 to May 4. I'm a little behind on finishing my Japanese book, but it took some time for an actual paper copy of the book I chose to arrive!

The Roads to Sata: A 2000-Mile Walk Through Japan is the account of Alan Booth's 1977 trek (on foot) from north to south in Japan. Some of it was very funny, some was very sad, and it was all very interesting. It reminded me of an on-foot, Japanese version of Long Way Round or Long Way Down.
